Meet Khandiese Cooper

Owner of Khanetic Images and Editor for the "Building Momentum"

Meet Khandiese Cooper: Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Killeen, Texas, I wear many hats - a devoted mother, a second-generation entrepreneur, and a passionate community leader and advocate. My journey into the world of photography and community engagement has been a colorful tapestry woven with purpose and dedication.

As a Photographer, I have the privilege of capturing moments that matter and telling stories through the lens. But my commitment to community goes beyond the confines of my studio walls. I started my photography journey, honestly, out of necessity. My father, who was the owner of AWC Photographs, retired from the photography industry after 30 years in the business.

Talk about Shock & Awe!!! I knew the business, I knew the people and had a basic level knowledge of camera settings. I was determined to figure it out; let's just say the word "Hard" was an understatement!

Through years of struggling, identity confusion, rejection and fear of failure, I put the camera down and got back into the Corporate world. Financially, I was in a much better place; but something was missing.

It was PEOPLE and the opportunity to connect and engage. My 1st try at photography failed because I was in it for the wrong reasons. I was in it out of fear and not because I believed in it.

In 2018, I found myself back behind the camera but with a new approach. I found a way to use my experience and life lessons and my passion to connect with people as the pillars that would hold up my business.

"My goal is to grow my business in my community, for my community, because of my community." This mantra encapsulates my vision and drives me to connect the dots between business success and community prosperity.

My commitment to community service has granted me the opportunity to serve as the Marketing Committee Chair for the Innovation Black Chamber of Commerce, Board member for the Killeen ISD Education Grant Foundation, Vice-President of the Downtown Merchant's Association & Committee member with the Downtown Advisory Committee for the City of Killeen.

And now 6 years later, I was blessed to go from 150 sq ft of my living room to purchasing a Historic 1954 Diner and renovating it to become a 2300sft High-end photography studio.

I've had the joy and honor to photograph start-up businesses from Moms with amazing ideas, Headshots of State, County and Locally-Elected officials, Cultural Community events, Beautiful ceremonies, tearful good-byes and Non-Profits working towards real change.

I can't wait to continue to learn every step of the way.

I hope to capture your next big moment!
